About this item

  • Application---Work for 6.6L Duramax engines with Allison automatic transmissions. Indispensable tool kit for 6.6L Duramax water pump replacement. The flywheel is locked on the transmission to prevent the flywheel from turning effectively.
  • Duramax 2500 & 3500 Flywheel Holder---Used with Duramax 2500 / 3500 pickup. Use toothed pieces only remove metal spring-loaded inspection plate on the bottom of the transmission, then tool should slide into opening toward engine with the top of the tool engaging the teeth of the flywheel.
  • Duramax 4500 & 5500 Flywheel Holder---Use with Duramax 4500 / 5500 trucks. Use toothed pieces with screws remove the rubber inspection cap on the bottom of the transmission. Insert the tool at the front of the opening to engage the flywheel and hand tighten bolt to hold tool in place.
  • 36mm 12-Point Socket---Use 36mm 12-point socket with 3/4" square drive to remove harmonic balancer bolt and re-torque on installation. 36mm 12 point socket can also be used on axle.
  • Function--- Locking the flywheel at the transmission instead of having to remove the starter for water pump replacement.
